Generous customers donate to local cause

EVH news storyWe would like to thank all our generous customers for participating in our fundraising efforts for Eden Valley Hospice.

We held a collection at our food show in February 2017 in the memory of Brian Queen. Brian worked for us as our Area Sales Manager covering the Carlisle area and he passed away in September last year after spending some time in the hospice. A total of £204 was raised for this valuable cause.

The hospice, based in Carlisle, supports people who are living with a life limiting condition and relies solely on funding from the community. Supporting local causes has always and still is very important to us.
In support of the hospice, we are also sponsoring their Colour Run this year. It is held at Carlisle Racecourse on Sunday 14th May: to register visit their website.

Introducing Gemma ...

Gemma HodgsonWe're very proud to introduce you to Gemma Hodgson who is our new Area Sales Manager covering the Carlisle area.

Although, new to the team, Gemma is an 'old hand' at helping our customers receive first-class service as she's worked for the company for ten years now. Until recently, Gemma was part of our busy telesales team and has recently been promoted to join the rest of our area sales managers, visiting our customers and ensuring that we provide an excellent service.

David Jenkins, our Sales Director, welcomes Gemma to the team: "Gemma is a fantastic addition to our professional, friendly sales team and we wish her luck in this exciting and varied role. We're sure our customers will love her!"

We've no doubt that it won't be long until she's a familiar face around the city!

We held our 20th food show on Sunday 26 and Monday 27 February 2017. This one was certainly the busiest to date with visitors arriving from all over Cumbria, south west Scotland and north east England.

With great deals on offer, fantastic food to sample and a buzzing atmosphere, this show was the success all our staff had worked hard to arrange and all we could have hoped for!

The butchery demonstrations by a master butcher proved to be a popular attraction as were the tastings of our dry aged beef. Just some of the delicious products on offer included our own Lakeland beef, lamb and pork, desserts from Sweet Street Desserts, ice cream from Cream o' Galloway and gluten free dishes from Paramount 21.

With visitors praising the show for demonstrating a wide range of quality products and all at fantastic prices, we’re sure they’ll be back for another visit in two years’ time.
