Pioneer Foodservice sponsors young swimmers

Carlisle Aquatics swimming club has received a donation of £250 from Pioneer Foodservice so their swimmers can undertake high intensity training at the Sports Abroad Swimming Camp in Fuerteventura during half-term in February 2016.

Thanks to the funding, the club has now been able to buy training kits for their members. Sharon Fraser, Secretary of Carlisle Aquatics says: “Swimming is a very expensive sport due to insurance and pool hire costs and despite the parents paying for each swimmer to participate in the camp we needed help from sponsors like Pioneer to pay for essential kit for the trip and also to provide the swimmers with hoodies and t shirts. Thank you very much to Pioneer Foodservice for their kind donation.”

Pioneer Foodservice is proud to support local talent and fitness activities in the city and Managing Director, Graham Jenkins says: “Supporting activities and clubs in Carlisle is immensely important to us. We are a family owned business with firm roots in the city and we are glad to be able to ensure that local talent is encouraged and promoted.”

The aim of the camp is to help the swimmers to achieve their peak fitness levels for the forthcoming season, after which many of them will go on to compete at not just county and regional level, but national level.
