Pioneering energy efficiency

Pioneer Solar Panels1We are proud to announce the installation in August 2012 of the largest privately owned solar panel system in Cumbria on the roof of our coldstore at Rosehill. The 272 panels will be used to help run our chills and offices.

We are committed to having as little as possible negative impact on the environment and this clean energy source will reduce our carbon footprint for years to come, whilst also minimising energy costs.

Directors Barry Garrett and Graham and David Jenkins are pictured here on the roof having a look over the panels prior to the system being commissioned.

New look for Harrington shop

Harrington NewWe are currently celebrating 35 successful years' trading in Harrington, having opened the shop back in 1977. It has always played a central role in the local community, serving up great local meats, groceries and frozen foods.

To coincide with this we have just completed the re-decoration of the outside of the shop. New signwork has been installed to reflect our new blue retail branding, incorporating the line "Finest Meats and Produce", and new window blinds and transfers have been fitted to match.

From the other side of the premises the foodservice division delivers to caterers with three refrigerated vehicles. To enquire further ring 01946 831163 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
