We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Buyer at Rosehill Industrial Estate.  The Company specialises in delivering food and non-food to the foodservice market and the successful candidate will be assisting the purchasing team in implementing Group buying and range strategies.

Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Maintaining stock levels and monitoring range reviews.
  • Advising on new supplier and product opportunities.
  • Identifying new products and opportunities in the market.
  • Maximising gross margins through improved cost prices/terms, product substitutions, forward buying and any other method as appropriate to the business.
  • Developing promotional and category strategies through working with key suppliers and the marketing department.
  • Working closely with the buying team to identify any supply problems or other issues and ensuring that any sub-standard suppliers are dealt with in an appropraite manner.
  • Ensuring that all supplier, product, pricing and promotional detaiils are accurately maintained.

The successful candidate will be competent in the use of the Microsoft suite of packages, will be a strong relationship builder, possess drive and motivation as well as strong negotiation skills.
